A investigação dos padrões de funcionamento dos ecossistemas e impactos causados pelas perturbações antrópicas e mudanças globais devem compor uma rede de sítios de pesquisa distribuídos nos diversos ecossistemas brasileiros

CNPq lança edital para Pesquisas Ecológicas de Longa Duração

Com o objetivo de apoiar a continuidade das pesquisas já estabelecidas e ampliar o número de sítios apoiados pelo Programa de Pesquisas Ecológicas de Longa Duração (Peld), o Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq/MCT) lança Edital para a seleção pública de propostas.

A investigação dos padrões de funcionamento dos ecossistemas e impactos causados pelas perturbações antrópicas e mudanças globais devem compor uma rede de sítios de pesquisa distribuídos nos diversos ecossistemas brasileiros e a formação de um banco de dados.

São cerca de R$ 5 milhões liberados em três parcelas, uma por ano em 2009, 2010 e 2011. Os projetos terão o valor máximo para gastos de R$ 340 mil, exceto uma única proposta que será responsável pelo desenvolvimento e gestão do banco de dados que receberá até R$ 160 mil.

O proponente deve ter título de doutor; ter currículo cadastrado e atualizado na Plataforma Lattes; ser um líder de excelência científico-tecnológica, com experiência de pelo menos cinco anos em pesquisas na área do projeto; ser obrigatoriamente o coordenador do projeto; ter vínculo empregatício/ funcional com a instituição de execução.

Os biomas e ecossistemas contemplados são a Amazônia; Mata Atlântica; Caatinga; Florestas Subtropicais; Cerrados; Campos e Campos de Altitude; Pantanais e Áreas Alagáveis; Restingas, Dunas e Manguezais; Estuários e Zonas Costeiras; Águas Oceânicas e Águas Continentais. As propostas devem ser encaminhadas exclusivamente por meio do Formulário de Propostas On line , disponível na Plataforma Carlos Chagas , até 23 de novembro.

Os projetos devem conter objetivos claramente alinhados com pelo menos três temas. Fluxo de energia e produtividade primária; Dinâmica de nutrientes; Conservação da diversidade biológica; Dinâmica de populações e organização de comunidades e ecossistemas; Padrões e frequência de perturbações naturais e impactos antrópicos e seus efeitos sobre populações, comunidades e ecossistemas; Restauração de ecossistemas; Ecologia de espécies invasoras; Eco-hidrologia; Eco-epidemiologia; Valoração de serviços ambientais e Educação ambiental compõem o leque temático.

Sítios

Na constituição de sítios devem ser observados o fornecimento de respostas às necessidades de pesquisa, desenvolvimento e inovação sobre a conservação e o uso sustentável dos recursos naturais; o fortalecimento da interação entre grupos de pesquisas sobre conservação e manejo da biodiversidade e processos ecológicos de longo prazo.

Deve observar ainda a criação de bancos de dados de longo prazo sobre a dinâmica de populações, comunidades e ecossistemas, com livre acesso ao público; a promoção de comprometimento institucional para manutenção dos sítios e o estímulo à parcerias entre grupos de pesquisa e com programas de pós-graduação e a ampliação da formação de recursos humanos capacitados em pesquisas ecológicas de longa duração, dentre outros.
