Parque localizado no Espírito Santo produz petróleo e gás

O ministro de Minas e Energia, Edison Lobão, participou nesta terça-feira (25) da solenidade que marcou o início oficial da exploração e produção de petróleo e gás no Parque das Conchas, localizado no litoral do Espírito Santo.O anúncio foi feito pela Shell, que iniciou a produção no bloco localizado a 110 quilômetros da costa do Estado, onde se encontram reservatórios de óleo pesado há quase 2 quilômetros de profundidade na Bacia de Campos. O Parque das Conchas é o primeiro projeto em que todos os campos são desenvolvidos com base no sistema de separação e bombeio submarinos de petróleo e gás. A Shell empregou uma série de novas e avançadas tecnologias para fazer frente aos diversos desafios do projeto, entre eles a profundidade da água e a viscosidade do óleo. Bombas elétricas de 1.500 cavalos de potência impulsionam o petróleo extraído por 1.800 metros até a superfície, para o processamento na plataforma flutuante de produção, estocagem e transferência FPSO Espírito Santo, cujo comprimento é de 330 metros. A embarcação tem capacidade para processamento diário de 100 mil barris de petróleo e 1,42 milhão de metros cúbicos de gás natural, além de armazenar cerca de 1,5 milhão de barris de petróleo para carregamento até a costa por navios-petroleiros. Também participaram da cerimônia o governador do Espírito Santo, Paulo Hartung, o presidente da Shell Brasil, Vasco Dias, o diretor de Upstream da Shell nas Américas, Marvin Odum, e o secretário de Desenvolvimento do Estado do Espírito Santo, Guilherme Dias.
