Setur licitará estrada de acesso ao Cânion

O governador Wellington Dias autorizou, na última segunda-feira (22), durante visita ao município de Buriti dos Montes, que a Secretaria de Turismo do Piauí licite o Projeto Executivo e a obra da rodovia trecho Buriti dos Montes a Cachoeira da Lembrada

Setur licitará estrada de acesso ao Cânion

A estrada, com extensão de 65 km, vai facilitar o acesso ao Cânion do Poti, um dos mais belos atrativos naturais do Piauí.

O projeto e a obra juntos serão financiados pelo convênio entre o Ministério do Turismo, Prodetur II, com contrapartida do Governo do Estado, e está orçado em R$ 2.653.040,00. A Setur já cadastrou o projeto no Sincov e está preparando o processo licitatório.

O Cânion do Poti é uma fenda geológica por onde passa o rio Poti ao atravessar a cadeia montanhosa da Ibiapaba entre o Ceará e o Piauí, é excelente para a prática de esportes radicais, como canionismo, rapel, canoagem e trecking, dentre outros. Também, é ideal para campings e para o contato com a natureza. Em grande parte de sua extensão existem inscrições gravadas em baixo relevo nas rochas, formando diversas figuras e servem de abrigo natural para diversos animais.

Para o secretário de Turismo do Piauí, Sílvio Leite, o Cânion do Poti tem grande potencial para atrair turistas do mundo todo. “Proporcionar o acesso mais rápido e confortável para os turistas é essencial para que eles se sintam motivados a vir conhecer essa maravilha e desfrutar das belezas naturais que só o Piauí tem a oferecer”, disse.
