Brasil e Argentina preveem ações conjuntas de pesquisa e abertura de mercados agropecuários

Os governos do Brasil e da Argentina estreitaram as relações no setor agropecuário, em especial, na concentração de esforços para abertura de mercados de interesse comum. O secretário-executivo do Ministério da Agricultura, Gerardo Fontelles, e o ministro argentino de Agricultura, Julián Dominguez, firmaram, nesta quarta, dia 1º, memorando de entendimento para cooperação estratégica. A reunião foi realizada na capital argentina, Buenos Aires.

Fontelles representou o ministro Wagner Rossi na cerimônia de lançamento do Plano Estratégico Agroalimentar e Agroindustrial daquele país. Segundo o secretário, o documento dá partida às ações de cooperação bilateral nos níveis estratégico, técnico e comercial.

– O memorando formaliza os entendimentos que começaram em maio, com foco na integração para abertura de novos mercados pelo Mercosul – ressaltou.

Fontelles informou, ainda, que o início dos projetos deve acontecer durante da reunião do Conselho Agropecuário do Sul (CAS), nos dias 21 e 22 de outubro, em Santiago (Chile). Estão previstas atividades de promoção de produtos para exportação e troca de experiências em tecnologia agrícola, além de posições conjuntas em fóruns regionais e internacionais.

O memorando tem validade de cinco anos, podendo ser prorrogado por igual período, de acordo com a intenção dos dois países. A ideia dessa aliança estratégica surgiu na última reunião entre os ministros Rossi e Dominguez, há cerca de dois meses, em Brasília.

No encontro, Rossi destacou a oportunidade de estabelecer políticas comuns entre as duas nações, com a possibilidade de buscar campos e trabalhos conjunto, em vez de competir.
