Carne bovina será considerada item de luxo em 2050, diz analista

O consumo mundial de proteína animal deve ter grande crescimento até 2050. Essa é a análise de Osler Desouzart, da OD Consultoria, Planejamento e Estratégia de Mercados.

— Vai haver uma migração do consumo mundial de alimentos vegetais para os de origem animal, com o crescimento da renda das populações pobres de países asiáticos e africanos — disse.

O analista participou do Fórum Canal Rural: Perspectivas do mercado de proteína animal, ocorrido na tarde desta sexta, dia 3, na CASA RBS, durante a Expointer.

A expectativa é bastante favorável para o setor no Brasil, já que os dois continentes com maior expectativa de crescimento populacional, Ásia e África, não possuem local para suprir este novo mercado. O que resta a eles é importar. Além disso, Desouzart acredita que o Brasil é o país com mais recursos naturais e maior possibilidade de aumento da produção.

O crescimento da produção deve ocorrer principalmente no setor avícola, com aumento de 118,5% até o ano de 2050. Para Osler, a carne bovina será considerada de luxo, devido à escassez de recursos naturais, principalmente terra arável e água.

Para Luiz Fernando Ross, presidente da Asgav - Sipargs, duas questões ainda precisam ser resolvidas para que o mercado de proteína animal do país siga o crescimento da demanda mundial: mão de obra, que atualmente é escassa, e leis ambientais que pensem também no setor.
