Importação de carne bovina aumenta em 2010

O Brasil está importando mais carne bovina. Só nos primeiros sete meses do ano, a alta foi de 17% no volume. Um dos fornecedores que comemora esse resultado é a Argentina. Comprando mais picanha, o mercado brasileiro se destaca, enquanto outros países compram cada vez menos cortes de carne dos argentinos.

Para os brasileiros que não dispensam uma boa carne, picanha não pode faltar. O consumo desse corte é tradição no país.

– Esta é uma questão cultural porque o brasileiro gosta da picanha e os argentinos gostam de outros cortes. Isso faz com que cada país, de acordo com sua tradição cultural, tenha cortes mais valorizados – explica o analista de mercado José Vicente Ferraz.

Na churrascaria que Gilson Belusso gerencia, em São Paulo, são consumidas mais de quatro toneladas de picanha por mês. Sem dúvida este corte de carne é o preferido entre os clientes: 50% do que é pedido diariamente é picanha. Para manter os estoques, o restaurante importa o produto:

– Cerca de 70% da carne utilizada é brasileira e 30% vem de países como Uruguai e Argentina – diz ele.

O consumo da carne bovina vinda do Exterior aumenta. O Brasil importou um volume 27% a mais de janeiro a julho deste ano. Em valor, a alta é de quase 50%. Do ponto de vista dos argentinos, a notícia não poderia ser melhor.

Enquanto as exportações de carne bovina deles caem no geral, o Brasil é exceção.

As vendas para o mercado brasileiro, concentradas na picanha, cresceram mais de 6% em volume e quase 25% em valor. O diretor comercial da Divisão de Bovinos da Marfrig, Ronan Toniolo, explica que importar tem sido a alternativa para abastecer o mercado brasileiro.
