Produção de ração cresce 3,3% até outubro

A indústria de alimentação animal produziu da janeiro a outubro deste ano 50 milhões de toneladas de ração. O desempenho representa um crescimento de 3,3% em comparação ao mesmo período de 2009, segundo dados do Sindicato Nacional da Indústria de Alimentação Animal (Sindirações).

Diante dos resultados dos dez meses do ano, o setor já projeta um crescimento entre 3% e 3,5% sobre as 58,4 milhões de toneladas produzidas no ano passado. O desempenho deve ser bem inferior ao estimado no início do ano, quando as perspectivas apontavam para um crescimento entre 5% e 10% em 2010.

O crescimento abaixo do esperado se deve principalmente ao mercado de frango. A valorização do real frente ao dólar limitou o crescimento das exportações de carne do frango do Brasil, que avançaram apenas 4%, segundo o Sindirações. Conforme Ariovaldo Zani, vice-presidente executivo da entidade, o consumo doméstico compensou parte do volume que deixou de ser exportado, mas os preços dos grãos reduziram a rentabilidade dos avicultores.

"A alta nos preços dos grãos no mercado internacional tem um impacto brutal sobre as indústrias de ração. Mais do que a alta, as variações bruscas de preços, para baixo ou para cima, são muito prejudiciais, pois interferem no fluxo de caixa e acabam comprometendo toda a cadeia", afirma Zani.

Até outubro, a avicultura consumiu 56% da produção de ração. Os suínos foram o segundo maior mercado, com 12,6 milhões de toneladas, enquanto a pecuária - de corte e de leite - consumiu 6,1 milhões de toneladas.
