Turismo rural no Brasil cresce 30% ao ano

Com crescimento de aproximadamente 30% ao ano, o turismo rural é uma das atividades econômicas que mais se desenvolve no país. No ranking mundial, o Brasil ocupa a quarta posição no segmento, perdendo apenas para Espanha, Portugal e Argentina. Segundo a Organização Mundial do Turismo, o crescimento internacional do setor é de 6% ao ano e pelo menos 3% dos turistas do mundo direcionam suas viagens para destinos rurais.

Os dados são da pesquisa Panorama Empresarial de Turismo Rural 2010, realizada pelo Serviço Brasileiro de Apoio às Micro e Pequenas Empresas (Sebrae), em parceria com a PRB Consultores Associados, e o Instituto de Desenvolvimento do Turismo Rural (Idestur), com o objetivo de conhecer o empreendedor e o universo desta atividade no ano de 2010.

Segundo o levantamento, São Paulo é o maior destino de turismo rural no Brasil, com 122 municípios que possuem produtos rurais em crescimento extraordinário nos últimos anos. “É uma tendência mundial. O turista não quer mais ser apenas um mero expectador de sua viagem, mas sim um protagonista, que efetivamente vivencia experiências únicas”, afirma Valéria Barros, analista de Atendimento Coletivo, Comércio e Serviços do Sebrae.

A pesquisa mostra, ainda, que a atividade turística pode ser uma excelente oportunidade para as pequenas propriedades rurais brasileiras, que podem agregar valores socioeconômicos e culturais com uma boa visão empreendedora. Pelo levantamento, o turismo rural e as atividades agroprodutivas convivem em perfeita harmonia, conforme 88% dos empresários entrevistados.

O aspecto positivo da atividade mais citado foi a identidade do turismo rural como instrumento de reforço da riqueza e da diversidade da beleza do meio rural e da cultura local. Já os negativos mais destacados expõem as principais dificuldades de uma atividade relativamente nova, demonstrando de modo geral a importância do planejamento, da gestão dos empreendimentos e da ação integrada entre a iniciativa pública e privada, buscando o aprimoramento e a profissionalização do turismo rural.
