O presidente da Empresa de Pesquisa Energética (EPE), Maurício Tolmasquim, anunciou ontem (13), por meio do microblog Twitter, que três usinas cotadas para entrar no leilão de hidrelétricas do próximo dia 17 receberam a licença prévia do Ibama.

As usinas são Teles Pires (1.819 MW), no rio Teles Pires (MT/PA), usina Estreito (56 MW) e usina Cachoeira (63MW), ambas no rio Parnaíba (PI/MA). A habilitação das três usinas para o leilão deveria ser feita até as 18 horas de ontem na EPE.

As usinas iniciarão a entrega de energia cinco anos após a assinatura do contrato de concessão, por isso o leilão é chamado de A-5. A assessoria do Ibama ainda não confirma a emissão das licenças prévias para os empreendimentos.

A EPE tinha expectativa de que outras duas hidrelétricas também fossem licitadas nesta semana. Mas, por falta de licença prévia, as usinas de Ribeiro Gonçalves (113 MW), no rio Parnaíba (PI/MA), e Sinop (400 MW) no rio Teles Pires (MT/PA) não participarão do leilão.

No início de novembro, mesmo sem o aval da área ambiental, a diretoria da Agência Nacional de Energia Elétrica (Aneel) aprovou o edital de licitação de cinco hidrelétricas. O leilão A-5 comercializará energia nova a partir de janeiro de 2015.
