O secretário estadual do Meio Ambiente e Recursos Hídricos (Semar), Dalton Macambira, foi reconduzido ao cargo nesta terça-feira (4). Em posse prestigiada, o gestor elencou como prioridades à frente da pasta a partir de 2011 as questões ambientais relacionadas à revitalização da Bacia do Rio Parnaíba, o combate à desertificação e a conclusão dos projetos das adutoras de Piaus e Bocaína, no semiárido piauiense.

Dalton Macambira enfatizou o comprometimento de apresentar, dentro do prazo de dez dias, um plano de ação para os próximos seis meses. Ele adiantou que a equipe técnica já está trabalhando na organização dos projetos. Com relação à formação desta, o secretário informou que continuam nos cargos o superintendente do Meio Ambiente, Carlos Moura Fé, o superintendente de Recursos Hídricos, Demócrito Barreto, e a diretora administrativa e financeira, Amélia Lima. O engenheiro Roberto Fernandes assume o cargo de diretor de Recursos Hídricos, antes ocupado por Milcíades Gadelha.

O deputado federal Osmar Júnior, que prestigiou a solenidade, destacou o importante trabalho realizado pelo secretário na área do Meio Ambiente. Dalton Macambira exerce o cargo pela terceira vez. “Dalton apresenta uma linha de trabalho transparente e tem uma equipe competente. Oito anos depois temos um órgão competente, fiscalizador e que trabalha pautado na sustentabilidade. Um órgão que em oito anos nunca teve um ato de irregularidade, um desvio que pudesse manchar o seu trabalho”, afirmou o parlamentar.

Emocionado, Dalton Macambira agradeceu à família pelo apoio recebido e aos servidores da Semar. “Reassumo o cargo de secretário com o compromisso de fazer valer a credibilidade apresentada pelo nosso governador, funcionários e da opinião pública. Temos muitos desafios pela frente, mas acredito na equipe competente que temos”, ressaltou.
