Polícia Militar reforça a segurança nas praias piauienses

A Polícia Militar reforçou a fiscalização das praias de Luís Correia, Parnaíba e Cajueiro da Praia para o período de férias. Nessa época as praias estão lotadas de turistas. A Companhia Independente Turística do Piauí (Ciptur) faz o policiamento ostensivo na orla, a medida é para garantir a segurança dos banhistas.

Em Luís Correia, o policiamento começa na zona urbana e vai até a zona rural, nas praias a ronda é periódica. “Nessa época do ano a gente intensifica o trabalho por causa dos turistas que vêm para o nosso litoral, a criminalidade aqui é pequena, mesmo assim recebemos a determinação do comando de intensificar os trabalhos”, disse o sargento Luís Nunes.

As praias piauienses também é o destino de vários turistas de outros estados. Rayane Teixeira mora em Brasília e veio com os pais para Luís Correia. É a segunda vez que a estudante de enfermagem vem ao Piauí. “As praias são bonitas, para quem procura sossego e segurança aqui é o lugar ideal”.

O Departamento Estadual de Trânsito (Detran) também está fazendo um trabalho de fiscalização nas praias, a de Atalaia recebe atenção especial com as obras de urbanização da orla. “Os motoristas ainda estão se adaptando com os novos estacionamentos da Atalaia, são 600 lugares, estamos fazendo um trabalho de conscientização com os motoristas”, destacou Lourival Sales.

A Polícia Militar vai continuar com a Ronda Ostensiva durante todo o período de férias no Litoral, provavelmente até o Carnaval. O comandante da Polícia Militar, coronel Rubens Pereira, disse que a ideia é de mostrar para a população a presença de segurança pública. “É importante que a população sinta a segurança, queremos isso, mostrar para o cidadão essa política de aproximação”, finalizou.
