Largada do Piocerá conta com quase 400 competidores

A largada oficial ocorrida na manhã desta terça-feira (25), no Jockey Clube de Teresina, deu início a 24ª edição do Piocerá. Serão cinco dias intensos de provas nos mais variados tipos de terreno.

Com cerca de 400 competidores inscritos nas categorias carro 4x4, moto, quadriciclo e bikes, o Piocerá começa com a participação de competidores de Norte a Sul do Brasil e ainda dois estrangeiros, um italiano, nas motos, e um suíço, nas bikes.

Para o presidente da Fundespi, José Gomes, o Piocerá 2011 é um evento que só tem a valorizar o Piauí. “É muito importante que o Governo do Estado apoie o Enduro, porque é um evento tradicional e que envolve vários estados do país, com repercussão nacional e internacional, mostrando uma imagem positiva do Estado. Então, o Governo deve continuar apoiando”, declarou.

Na categoria carros 4x4 regularidade, segundo levantamento da Totem, equipe responsável pelas inscrições e apuração dos resultados da prova, estão inscritos 41 carros, divididos em 14 equipes na categoria graduado, 4 em expedição e 12 em turismo. Para quem corre nesta categoria, alguns detalhes fazem toda a diferença, como a calibragem dos pneus, que deve girar entre 18 e 23 libras.

Já nas motos são 151 competidores, divididos em oito categorias. Pilotos de vários estados do país estão participando da maior prova de Enduro de Regularidade da America Latina e que vale pelas 1ª e 2ª etapas do Campeonato Brasileiro de Regularidade para Motos.

Serão percorridos pelas equipes de carro 1.083 quilômetros divididos da seguinte forma: dia 25 - partida de Teresina (PI) ao município de Barreirinhas (MA) - 366 quilômetros. Dia 26 - Barreirinhas (MA) a Parnaíba (PI) 252 quilômetros. Dia 27 - Parnaíba a Ubajara (CE) - 216 quilômetros. E dia 28 - Ubajara a Jijoca de Jericoacoara (CE) - 249 quilômetros. As motos percorrerão 1.130 quilômetros saindo terça-feira chegando a Jericoacoara no dia 28, sexta-feira.

A grande novidade deste ano é a categoria dupla, que vai proporcionar aos novatos uma maior segurança na prova que é cheia de laços. Serão quatro dias de pura adrenalina, onde os pilotos passarão pelos mais diversos terrenos desde areia, estradas vicinais e trilhas.
