Aumento da produção de pescado depende de licenciamento

Para aumentar a produção e o consumo de pescado em todo país, será preciso a liberação das licenças ambientais para demarcação e uso das águas dos rios, lagoas, usinas, baías e do mar. Nesses espaços, é possível implantar parques aquícolas, chamada aquicultura, como a que está sendo estruturado em Ilha Solteira – SP.

A competência sobre a legislação é dos governos estaduais, por isso a ministra da pesca e aquicultura, Ideli Salvatti, tem visitado governadores de diversos estados para pedir apoio e mais atenção ao setor. Na próxima terça (8/2), estará conversando com Geraldo Alckmin, governador de SP, no Palácio dos Bandeirantes, às17h.

Além do pedido de agilidade na liberação do licenciamento ambiental para aquicultura, a ministra tratará sobre a consolidação de parceria institucional na fiscalização, monitoramento e controle das atividades de pesca marinha. A criação de estrutura própria no estado, como uma secretaria, diretoria ou empresa para atender as demandas do setor também será abordada.

Pela manhã, às 9h, haverá reunião com o setor pesqueiro e aquícola do estado de SP. Representantes de colônias, associações, sindicatos e prefeituras falarão de avanços e desafios no auditório da Superintendência Federal da Agricultura, Pecuária e Abastecimento, localizada na rua 13 de Maio, 1558, Mezanino, no bairro Bela Vista.

Segundo a ministra, para o Brasil se tornar um dos principais produtores mundiais de pescado será preciso união e esforço coletivo de todos os envolvidos com a cadeia produtiva. “Sem contar que ao inserir cada vez mais o peixe na alimentação da população também movimentaremos uma atividade econômica que envolve milhares de famílias, gerando renda, inclusão social e responsabilidade ambiental” disse Ideli Salvatti.
