Empresários apostam na piscicultura como negócio viável e rentável

O governo tomou uma decisão: o Acre vai ser o maior produtor de surubim (pintado), tambaqui e pirarucu da Amazônia. O caminho para isso não é misterioso: o Estado induz a iniciativa para fomentar o desenvolvimento, e uma parceria entre o público, privado e comunitário toca o projeto. Em 2013, o Acre deverá exportar peixe produzido por pequenos, médios e grandes piscicultores.

O governo está investindo em açudes, tecnologias, frigoríficos e, o mais importante, na articulação de uma cadeia produtiva do peixe, que será produzido e processado no Estado. O mercado interno ganha um peixe mais barato e todo o excedente será exportado, num negócio que movimenta milhões de reais ao ano.

Para a consolidação da cadeia produtiva, um investimento no Complexo Industrial do Peixe é necessário, incluindo uma fábrica de ração e o frigorífico. Os recursos para a iniciativa somam R$ 40 milhões e serão divididos entre o governo e a iniciativa privada, que está formando uma cooperativa para atuar na gestão do negócio, que também terá a participação de pequenos produtores.

– Queremos um investimento no qual os produtores acreanos possam, unidos, investir e ganhar dinheiro, por isso a preocupação do governo em reunir os empresários locais e apresentar a decisão de criar e fortalecer essa cadeia produtiva do peixe no Acre – explicou o secretário de Agropecuária, Mauro Ribeiro.

Para Jaime Brun, do Projeto Pacu, o investimento na indústria do peixe no Acre não é apenas viável, mas rentável:

– O Acre reúne todos os fatores favoráveis para a piscicultura.

O empresário Walmir Ribeiro aposta na iniciativa:

– Eu não tenho dúvidas de que a piscicultura é um negócio lucrativa e altamente viável para o Estado.
