Preço do etanol deve se normalizar na próxima semana, dizem produtores

A garantia é do diretor-presidente da Companhia Brasileira de Açúcar e Álcool (CBAA), José Pessoa de Queiroz Bisneto. Segundo ele, o álcool hidratado já está sendo vendido pelas usinas por cerca de R$ 1,10, que é o preço normal de mercado. “Esse álcool já era para estar na bomba hoje por R$ 1,50, R$ 1,60, que é um preço atrativo”, afirmou.

Ontem, o ministro de Minas e Energia, Edison Lobão, também disse que, a partir da próxima semana, os preços do etanol devem ser regularizados no país, com uma queda substancial dos preços. Segundo levantamento feito pela Agência Nacional do Petróleo, Gás Natural e Biocombustíveis (ANP), o etanol custava em média R$ 1,89 em fevereiro, e passou para R$ 2,32 na última semana de abril.

Para Bisneto, o principal fator para o aumento dos preços registrado recentemente foi a rápida subida do consumo, por causa do aquecimento da economia brasileira, que afetou também outros setores. “A produção de álcool no Brasil só vem crescendo, mas a economia cresceu mais que a produção, aí deu esse estresse de abastecimento”. Segundo ele, o consumo de gasolina também aumentou, mas o consumidor não sentiu porque a Petrobras importou o produto.

A intenção do governo de aumentar a participação da Petrobras na cadeia de produção de etanol para regular o fornecimento e os preços do produto, não surtirá muito efeito, na visão de Bisneto. Segundo ele, o problema não está na produção, que vem aumentando a cada ano. O diretor acredita que o governo deveria adotar um programa de preços mínimos e máximos para o produto, para evitar quedas bruscas de preço e de consumo.

De acordo com o ministro Lobão, a Petrobras deverá aumentar sua participação na produção de etanol de 5% para 15% até o fim do mandato da presidenta Dilma Roussseff.
