II Expotimon foi aberta ontem

A II Expotimon – Feira Especializada de Caprinos e Ovinos de Timon, começou ontem (11) em Timon e deverá reunir criadores de todo o país, principalmente da região Nordeste. A Feira deve reunir mais de 100 criadores.

O evento acontece no Hotel Portal da Amazônia e os apartamentos e chalés estão disponibilizados para os produtores e visitantes. Toda estrutura do hotel ficará disponível durante a feira, além de transportes e outros equipamentos. A feira acontece de 11 a 15 de maio com a presença dos principais criadores das raças anglo-nubiana, bôer, dorper e santa Inês, oriundos dos melhores criatórios do Brasil.

A II Expotimon terá dentre suas atrações julgamento de raças, taça Brasil da Raça Anglonubiana, palestras, comercializações de animais, 3º Encontro Nacional de Bodeiros e 2º Leilão Elo de Ouro, além de muita animação, comidas típicas e muito forró pé-de-serra.

Este ano a II Expotimon conta com o patrocínio direto da Prefeitura de Timon. Segundo a prefeita Socorro Waquim a exposição tem caráter demonstrativo do potencial dos criadores do município, pois o município tem conquistado troféus nacionais e estaduais, daí a necessidade de investimento no setor através da Secretaria de Agricultura. A prefeita garantiu presença no dia 14, após o meio dia quando será realizado o leilão de raças.
