Etanol já ficou 40% mais barato nas usinas, mas para consumidor, queda não passa de 4%

Segundo balanço da União da Indústria da Cana-de-Açúcar (Unica), divulgado hoje (12), o início da safra da cana-de-açúcar já acarreta queda significativa nos preços do etanol, mas apenas uma pequena parte dessa redução foi repassada ao consumidor. O diretor técnico da Unica, Antonio de Padua Rodrigues, afirmou que, nas usinas, os preços chegaram a cair 40%, mas, nas bombas, o etanol ficou apenas 4% mais barato para o consumidor.

Segundo dados da entidade que representa os usineiros, foram processadas até o final de abril 23,69 milhões de toneladas de cana-de-açúcar, segundo . Desse total, 64,62% foram destinados à produção de etanol. Percentualmente, mais do que os 59,18% destinados à produção do biocombustível no mesmo período da safra anterior.

A fabricação de etanol atingiu 894,84 milhões de litros, sendo 329, 37 milhões de litros de álcool anidro (sem adição de água, usado na mistura com a gasolina) e 565,48 de álcool hidratado (combustível vendido nas bombas). De acordo com Padua Rodrigues, as usinas estão se esforçando para normalizar o fornecimento do combustível.

As vendas de etanol chegaram a 1,12 bilhão de litros em abril, sendo 592,79 milhões de litros de anidro e 528,04 milhões de litros de hidratado. Desse volume, 1,1 bilhão de litros foram destinados ao mercado interno e 16,5 milhões exportados. As importações do combustível totalizaram 113 milhões de litros. Em maio, a Unica estima que devam chegar do exterior mais 22 milhões de litros.

A comercialização de etanol hidratado no mercado interno teve queda de 37,32% em abril em relação a março e de 61,49% na comparação com o mesmo mês de 2010. Já as vendas de etanol anidro cresceram 40,05% em relação ao mesmo período do ano passado, por causa do mercado cativo da gasolina que, por lei, deve ser misturada ao biocombustível.

Em relação à produção de açúcar, houve queda de 68,89% em comparação com o mesmo período da safra anterior. Saíram das usinas 794,96 mil toneladas do produto.
