Cidades Maranhenses são beneficiadas com Kits Feira do Peixe

O Ministério da Pesca e Aqüicultura (MPA), entregou hoje no estado do Maranhão 10 Kit´s Feira do Peixe. Foram contemplados, através de edital, entidades representativas dos pescadores, como colônias e sindicatos, nos municípios Brejo, Raposa, Santa Rita, Paço do Lumiar e Vitoria do Mearim. A cerimônia de entrega dos kits e dos Termos de Transferência Direta aconteceu na sede da Superintendência Federal da Pesca e Aquicultura no Estado do Maranhão.

O Programa Feira do Peixe é parte integrante de um conjunto de políticas públicas desenvolvidas pelo MPA que visam à promoção da eficiência das cadeias de produção de pescados da pesca artesanal e da aquicultura familiar. Cada kit é composto por equipamentos para o manuseio e beneficiamento do pescado (facas, balança, luva de segurança, avental, etc.) e uma estrutura de aço desmontável em formato de tenda para abrigar os equipamentos e os vendedores. Esses Kit´s são disponibilizados em dois padrões, um para a venda de peixe fresco e um para a venda de peixe vivo.

Segundo o Superintendente Federal da Pesca e Aqüicultura do Estado do Maranhão, Junior Verde, esta ação tem o objetivo de possibilitar a comercialização direta de produtos provenientes da pesca artesanal e aquicultura familiar. “Com a entrega vamos reduzir a participação dos intermediários na cadeia produtiva, tornar os preços mais acessíveis aos consumidores finais e proporcionar um rendimento maior para os pescadores artesanais e pequenos aquicultores”, concluiu.
