Ministro do Desenvolvimento Agrário chega ao Piauí hoje

O ministro do Desenvolvimento Agrário, Afonso Florence, confirmou a sua visita ao Piauí para esta semana. Ele chega ao Estado na noite desta quinta-feira (26) e participa de eventos na capital durante a sexta-feira (27). Entre os eventos previstos há uma cerimônia, pela manhã, no Palácio de Karnak, e reuniões com órgãos governamentais e entidades de classe.

De acordo com o presidente da Empresa de Assistência Técnica e Extensão Rural (Emater), Romualdo Militão, serão discutidos, entre outros pontos, o Pacto Federativo – que são iniciativas que preveem a união de todas as esferas governamentais –, as chamadas públicas, além de ser apresentado um projeto que deve beneficiar a mil famílias em todo o Estado.

“Iremos apresentar ao ministro um projeto de fruticultura irrigada para assentamentos e comunidades rurais que visa à geração de emprego e renda”, declara o presidente. Segundo ele, o projeto prevê a construção de mil núcleos que possuem uma área de 1.000 m² onde será cultivada a fruta que mais se adequar a cada região do Piauí.
