Alemanha anuncia fechamento de todas as usinas nucleares até 2022

O governo da Alemanha anunciou hoje (30) acordo para o fechamento de todas as usinas nucleares do país até 2022. O anúncio, após uma reunião que terminou apenas na madrugada desta segunda-feira (30), foi feito pelo ministro do Meio Ambiente, Norbert Rottgen. A chanceler Angela Merkel criou uma comissão de ética para analisar a energia nuclear após o desastre ocorrido na usina japonesa de Fukushima.

Após o grande terremoto e o tsunami que danificaram a usina japonesa e provocaram um dos maiores desastres nucleares da história, a Alemanha foi palco de grandes protestos contra a energia nuclear.

Rottgen afirmou que os sete reatores mais antigos do país, que já estavam parados por uma moratória determinada pelo governo, além da Usina Nuclear Kruemmel, não serão reativados.Mais seis reatores devem ser desligados até 2021, e os três mais novos devem ser desativados em 2022.

“É definitivo. O fim das últimas três usinas nucleares será em 2022. Não haverá cláusula para revisão”, afirmou o ministro. Antes da reunião que decidiu pelo fechamento das usinas nucleares, Merkel advertiu que muitas questões ainda têm que ser consideradas.

“Se você quer deixar algo, também tem que provar como a mudança vai funcionar e como podemos garantir o fornecimento duradouro de energia sustentável”. Antes da moratória nas usinas nucleares decretada em março, após o acidente em Fukushima, a Alemanha dependia da energia nuclear para 23% de seu suprimento.

A onda de protestos contra a energia nuclear na Alemanha fortaleceu o Partido Verde, que no fim de março venceu as eleições locais em Baden-Wuerttemberg, antes controlada pelo Partido Democrata Cristão, de Merkel.
