Mais um crime no Pará contra ambientalistas

Um agricultor foi encontrado morto no assentamento agroextrativista Praialta-Piranheira, em Nova Ipixuna (PA), onde na última terça-feira (24) o casal de ambientalistas José Cláudio Ribeiro da Silva e Maria do Espírito Santo foram assassinados.

De acordo com a Polícia Civil do Pará, o corpo do agricultor Eremilton Pereira dos Santos, de 25 anos, foi achado por uma equipe do Instituto Brasileiro do Meio Ambiente e dos Recursos Naturais Renováveis (Ibama), que fazia uma fiscalização na área. Santos estava desaparecido desde quinta-feira (26).

O corpo tinha marcas de ferimentos a tiros e estava às margens de um lago, na área do assentamento, a cerca de 7 quilômetros do local onde o casal foi vítima de uma emboscada no início da semana.

A polícia diz que ainda não é possível vincular os dois crimes, apesar da hipótese levantada pela Comissão Pastoral da Terra (CPT), de que Santos era testemunha da execução do casal de ambientalistas.

A Polícia Federal também está na região para apurar os crimes. Santos é o quarto trabalhador morto em uma semana na Amazônia.

Além dos três assassinatos em Nova Ipixuna, na sexta-feira (27) um líder camponês foi morto a tiros em Vista Alegre do Abunã, em Rondônia. Adelino Ramos, o Dinho, era líder do Movimento Camponês Corumbiara, e vinha sendo ameaçado de morte por denunciar a ação de madeireiros na divisa dos estados do Acre, Amazonas e de Rondônia.
