Semana Estadual do Meio Ambiente terá caminhada ecológica

No Piauí, a Semana Estadual do Meio Ambiente tem como tema: FLORESTAS: A NATUREZA A SEU SERVIÇO. A programação comemorativa é extensa e terá início no próximo dia 01 de Junho, na cidade de Parnaíba com a realização do Congresso Regional de Unidades de Conservação no Delta do Parnaíba, que acontecerá no auditório da Universidade Federal do Piauí, a partir das 16h. As 19h acontecerá a abertura do evento com a palestra proferida pelo secretário do Meio Ambiente e Recursos Hídricos, professor Dalton Macambira irá lançar o projeto Lagoa do Portinho.

O congresso prossegue até o dia 02/06, abrindo ampla discussão para temas relacionados a conservação do Delta do Parnaíba. O objetivo contribuir com o debate em torno das questões ambientais com foco na problemática local divulgando a educação ambiental como caminho para a sustentabilidade. “Estamos apoiando todas as ações que instituições não governamentais e das universidades que vêem ocorrendo no litoral do Piauí. Essas ações têm nos ajudado no que se refere à educação ambiental. Comunidades estão sendo atendidas, através de trabalhos de conscientização ambiental. Nosso escritório em Parnaíba é bem atuante. Durante o congresso, vamos apresentar dados referentes ao trabalho de conservação das dunas da Lagoa do Portinho”, ressalta Dalton Macambira.

A programação da semana prossegue com a realização, no dia 03/06, com várias atividades educativas no Centro Profissional Professor João Mendes Olimpio de Melo, no Bairro Marquês. Neste mesmo dia, serão realizadas oficinas e palestras a partir das 17h, na Ponte Estaiada, numa parceria entre o Governo do Estado e a Prefeitura Municipal de Teresina, através da Secretaria Municipal de Meio Ambiente.

No dia 04/06, em parceria com vários órgãos públicos e a Caixa Econômica Federal, a SEMAR realiza a Caminhada Ecológica Vale do Gavião, no Parque Zoobotânico de Teresina. No dia 05/06, Dia Mundial do Meio Ambiente será realizada mais uma grande caminhada na avenida Raul Lopes. Percurso: Floresta Fóssil – Ponte Estaiada –limpeza e plantio das margens do Rio Poty.
