Copa 2014: oportunidade para o turismo do Nordeste

O presidente do Instituto Brasileiro de Turismo (Embratur), Mário Moysés, esteve em Recife (PE) na manhã de segunda-feira para apresentar as estratégias de promoção e divulgação do Brasil como sede da Copa do Mundo de 2014. A palestra aconteceu durante o primeiro dia do “Fiptur Copa 2014”, que continua até amanhã e tem o propósito de discutir as ações estruturais e promocionais do Nordeste, com foco no mundial esportivo.

Durante sua participação, Moysés ressaltou as potencialidades regionais e a forma que esses diferenciais são promovidos pela Embratur no exterior. “A região se destaca por agregar belezas naturais à cultura, por exemplo, os eventos festivos de São João, uma novidade para os turistas estrangeiros que visitam o Brasil.”

O presidente da Embratur falou também sobre o legado que grandes eventos esportivos podem deixar. Segundo ele, como resultado de todos os investimentos em infraestrutura previstos, o turismo no Nordeste poderá continuar crescendo não só como opção de lazer, mas em especial no segmento de Eventos, Negócios e Incentivos (Mice, na sigla em inglês). “Só em Pernambuco, 20 hotéis deverão ser construídos, expandindo, assim, a capacidade do estado para receber mais visitantes e sediar mais encontros e seminários.”

Fiptur – O Fiptur Copa 2014, é uma realização do Fórum Internacional de Comunicação do Turismo e Ecologia, Recife Convention Bureau e Confederação Brasileira dos Convention Bureaux, com apoio do Sebrae, Senac, Webjet, JCOCCO, Secretaria de Turismo de Pernambuco, Empetur e Secretaria de Turismo do Recife.
