MMA e Caixa assinam hoje termo de adesão à gestão socioambiental

A ministra do Meio Ambiente Izabella Teixeira e o presidente da Caixa, Jorge Hereda assinam, nesta quinta-feira (09), termo de adesão do banco à A3P (Agenda Ambiental da Administração Pública), programa do MMA que visa implementar a gestão socioambiental sustentável das atividades administrativas e operacionais das instituições públicas.

Durante a cerimônia, a Caixa Econômica Federal anuncia a chamada pública de projetos ambientais do Fundo Socioambiental para recuperação de nascentes em rios utilizados para abastecimento público. A iniciativa contou com apoio do MMA, por meio do Fundo Nacional do Meio Ambiente, na elaboração do edital.

O encontro faz parte das comemorações da Caixa pelo Dia Mundial do Meio Ambiente (5/6). Na oportunidade serão apresentados os resultados ambientais do banco com o lançamento do relatório de sustentabilidade referente a 2010.
