Na manhã desta sexta, 14 de outubro, o superintendente da Superintendência de Desenvolvimento Rural (SDR), Sérgio Vilela e o gerente regional da Companhia Hidrelétrica do São Francisco (Chesf), Airton Feitosa, se reuniram para tratar da revitalização das 45 hortas comunitárias existem na região urbana de Teresina.

Essa revitalização das hortas garantirá um produto de maior qualidade no mercado e um aumento da renda dos pequenos produtores que atuam na venda de hortaliças.

De acordo com o superintendente, o recurso será investido em segurança, estrutura dos canteiros, construção do muro e demais equipamentos que possam melhorar as atividades desenvolvidas nas hortas. "A primeira ação que será executada é a implantação de um sistema de irrigação. Iremos melhorar toda infraestrutura física para que os horticultores possam imprimir um maior profissionalismo a sua atividade", detalha o superintendente.
