Brasil e China vão ampliar parceria ambiental

Os países discutiram como fortalecer intercâmbio

Nesta sexta-feira, 21 de outubro, o secretário-executivo do Ministério do Meio Ambiente, Francisco Gaetani, e o vice-ministro do Meio Ambiente da China, Zhag Lijun, discutiram a ampliação da parceria de cooperação técnica para a troca de experiências na área ambiental para que haja um intercâmbio de experiências e realização de ações conjuntas na área ambiental, proteção da biodiversidade e poluição entre Brasil e China.

Gaetani ressaltou o bom diálogo entre Brasil e China nas conferências internacionais sobre meio ambiente, e que isso deve ser ampliado para o enfrentamento dos grandes problemas ambientais.

De acordo com o secretário, um grupo técnico do Ministério do Meio Ambiente deverá visitar a China ainda este ano, para a troca de experiências sobre energia e clima.

O vice-ministro chinês sugeriu a criação de um grupo de trabalho entre os dois países para definir uma agenda de visitas e garantir uma cooperação permanente. De acordo com ele, uma delegação chinesa deverá vir ao Brasil ainda este ano para fechar a agenda de visitas entre os países para 2012.

Em 2005, os dois países assinaram o Memorando de Entendimento de parcerias na área de proteção ambiental. Mas a parceria ficou em missões, sem cooperação técnica.

Cada país fará sua lista de assuntos que gostaria para intercâmbio. O governo chinês destacou proteção à biodiversidade, prevenção e controle de poluição e supervisão ambiental como temas centrais da cooperação.
