MDA seleciona projetos para fortalecer a participação de cooperativas de agricultura familiar

Serão selecionados oito projetos nas regiões centro-oeste, nordeste e semiárido

O Ministério do Desenvolvimento Agrário (MDA) por meio da Coordenação Geral de Biocombustíveis (CGBIO) publicou no Diário Oficial da União desta sexta-feira, 21 de outubro, o chamamento público para seleção de oito projetos.

O chamamento irá promover o fortalecimento da participação de cooperativas da agricultura familiar no Programa Nacional de Produção e Uso de Biodiesel (PNPB) nas regiões centro-oeste, nordeste e semiárido.

Os beneficiários diretos do chamamento vão ser agricultores familiares vinculados a cooperativas que tenha seus projetos selecionados pelo MDA. As três regiões foram escolhidas para participarem do processo seletivo por apresentarem fragilidades que dificultam a sua participação de forma eficiente e sustentável no PNPB.

Podem participar do processo seletivo, cooperativas detentoras da Declaração de Aptidão ao Pronaf (DAP) jurídica, que produzam matéria prima ou possuam potencial de produzir para empresas produtoras de biodiesel, detentoras do Selo Combustível Social dentro do PNPB.

Dados do último balanço do MDA de 2010 apontam que, atualmente, 16 cooperativas situadas na região centro-oeste, nordeste e semiárido participam do Programa, e que, as três regiões juntas entregaram no ano cerca de R$ 100 milhões em aquisição de matéria prima de aproximadamente 21 mil famílias de agricultores cooperados.
