Ministros discutem produção sustentável para agricultura familiar

Foram discutidas propostas como desburocratização do processo de regularização ambiental

Durante reunião no Ministério do Desenvolvimento Agrário – MDA, nesta segunda-feira, 31 de outubro, o ministro do MDA, Afonso Florence, e a ministra do Meio Ambiente, Isabella Teixeira, apresentaram ao senador Jorge Viana (PT -AC), relator do Código Florestal na Comissão do Meio Ambiente no Senado, a posições acertada entre os ministérios, a Contag e a Via Campesina para a criação de uma seção específica para a agricultura familiar no novo Código Florestal (PLC 30/11) a ser votado na Casa.

“É um visão conjunta do Governo com as representações da agricultura familiar. Estamos buscando os melhores caminhos para a produção sustentável neste segmento que hoje é responsável por 70% dos alimentos que vão para a mesa dos brasileiros e por aproximadamente 40% do Valor Bruto da Produção Agropecuária nacional, ocupando 74% da mão de obra no campo”, destacou Afonso Florence.

Na reunião, foram discutidas algumas propostas de aperfeiçoamento do texto. A desburocratização do processo de regularização ambiental e a flexibilização das exigências para o manejo sustentável em Áreas de Preservação Permanente (APPs) e Reservas Legais fazem parte da lista dos novos dispositivos sugeridos e, após adequações, deverão ser apresentados como emenda ao Projeto de Lei no Senado.
