Debates sobre desenvolvimento sustentável e mostras valorizam produtos da sociobiodiversidade brasileira.

Uma exposição inédita em Brasília reúne, nesta quinta-feira (10/11), centenas de produtos da biodiversidade brasileira para se ver e degustar. A mostra foi buscar nos biomas brasileiros algumas espécies que só viu quem já foi a uma feira no interior. A ideia é mostrar que é possível gerar emprego e renda para as comunidades tradicionais e povos da floresta sem degradar os ecossistemas.

Os ministérios do Meio Ambiente, Desenvolvimento Social e Combate à Fome e Desenvolvimento Agrário, da Indústria e Comércio e Conab mostram, durante a V Conferência Nacional de Arranjos Produtivos Locais, todos os passos para fazer com que produtos do extrativismo e da cultura tradicional possam agregar valor, ser atrativos para o consumidor interno e virarem produtos tipo exportação, exclusivos, "made in Brazil".

"Tradicional Mundo Moderno", o nome da exposição, pode ser vista, também, na internet, pelo endereço: http://comunidades.mda.gov.br, Mas quem for ao Centro de Convenções do Hotel Royal Tulip, no Setor de Hotéis e Turismo Norte, vai poder até mesmo degustar algumas das iguarias tipicamente brasileiras.

A iniciativa tem o objetivo principal de promover os produtos da sociobiodiversidade brasileira, beneficiando diretamente as comunidades tradicionais, a agricultura familiar e os povos da floresta. O visitante vai poder interagir, por meio de um painel, conhecendo todos os passos que levaram os produtos aos mercados. A integração entre ciência, cultura e sociedade é o foco do projeto, apoiado pela cooperação alemã, GIZ.

A exposição é também um instrumento de promoção da conservação ambiental do uso sustentável dos recursos naturais, para difundir práticas sustentáveis e o consumo consciente, inclusão produtiva e desenvolvimento econômico sustentável.
