Chuvas provocam aumento dos preços no Piauí

Verduras e frutas registram acréscimos.

O consumidor piauiense já começou a sentir o reflexo das chuvas que caíram sobre as regiões que abastecem a Central de Abastecimento do Piauí (Ceapi) de hortifrutis. Os preços dos produtos já começaram a subir. O maxixe, a batata, a cebola e o coentro lideram as elevações dos preços dos produtos no mercado.

De acordo com o engenheiro agrônomo da Ceapi, Thyago Lima, que trabalha na diretoria técnica operacional do órgão, a variação de chuva e calor tem dificultado a produção das hortaliças e de algumas verduras, com isso, a queda na oferta desses produtos trouxe um aumento de preços.

A alta registrada no maxixe e na batata, segundo o engenheiro agrônomo, foi de 50%. "A caixa com 20kg, custa, em média, R$ 25, no entanto, essa mesma caixa, está sendo comercializada por R$ 50. A batata, que é vendida por R$ 45, o saco com 50kg, está custando R$ 90. Ou seja, são aumentos significativos que, com certeza, fazem muita diferença na hora das compras", explica Thyago Lima.

Ainda de acordo com o engenheiro agrônomo, "o saco de cebola, com 20kg do produto, custa cerca de R$ 12, mas, o seu preço atual no mercado é de R$ 20. Já o mói de coentro, que é vendido, em média, por R$ 0,80, hoje custa R$ 1,30". Thyago Lima afirma que a tendência dos preços é aumentarem, cada vez mais. "As chuvas não colaboram e o final de ano é o período de maior vendas aqui na Ceapi. E nós sabemos que quanto maior for a procura, maior será a oferta, consequentemente, os preços, no geral, estarão todos mais altos"

Os estados que mais abastecem o Piauí de frutas, verduras e legumes são: Bahia, Ceará, Pernambuco, Goiás, Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo e Rio Grande do Sul.
